Quick, before I chicken out

So, I'm relatively sure that I want to go to BlogHer this year, but I have to admit that I still have cold feet a little. Sure, I want to get to see Christina, but do I really want to deal with little sleep and serious social anxiety? I used to be outgoing, and extroverted. Heck, I wanted to be an actress. Age has made me chicken shit. I know I can afford it now, but I'm having a hard time actually committing. I just can't pull the trigger so to speak.

I just want to be able to go and talk to people who don't give me funny looks when I say "blog" or like my MIL think I just write mean stuff about people. (Oh, if she only knew what I held back) I know I'll have an awesome person there that I know who will know lots of people, but crap. Big fat chicken.

Maybe after I've slept on it.

I'm an introvert. So the idea of attending a conference where I know very few of the attendees. Geez it makes me break out into a sweat. That said, it sounds like it would be a lot of fun for you. I hope you go and write all about it. :-)

The nice thing is, you can choose what you want to do and don't want to do. And it is SO nice to talk to a bunch of people who know what you're referring to.

If you're feeling overwhelmed at any point, you can always go hang at the bookstore or go up to your room. It's a great experience and I wouldn't trade it.

Wait, you used to be outgoing and extroverted? Aaron never told me this.

See, now you have to go and reawaken that side of you. It'll be very Mama Mia, without the string of guys and musical numbers. Or who know, maybe they'll have karaoke?

Well, if you do decide to go...enjoy it =)

I'm so not anonymous, but I don't know what happened when I left that comment. I'm the one who said that you should enjoy it if you do decide to go. Obviously, this is the reason why I won't be going. Because I'm the sort of blogger who can't figure out how to properly comment. Lol. Sorry!

a) you might as well go when it's close! Next time it will be further away.
b) it's only a weekend, even if you hate it (unlikely!), it's a weekend. You can do anything for a weekend right?
c) It's an experience. New experiences are always worth the time/effort/money.

Well, I'm going and I'm possibly the most socially awkward person on the planet. So, if you stick close to me, people are certain to think you're wildly sophisticated in comparison.
